I have spent much of my working life helping organisations develop and implement a more flexible approach to work and have strived to make sure that the needs of employees and employers are both accommodated. We have seen flexible working (hybrid working etc.) become mainstream in many organisations.
I now find my attention is wavering and focussing more and more on creativity and innovation, two areas that I have been fascinated with and have carried out extensive research. Creativity and innovation are key drivers to business growth and are essential for individual and organisational success.
Research and knowledge concerning these topics have been diverse and often contradictory. This has piqued my interest and has opened the door for me to challenge the status quo and carry out more research.
I think it’s time to challenge our traditional way of thinking about creativity and innovation. I want to provoke discussion and develop a platform for debate. Through exploration, research and discussion, I hope together, we can provide inspiration and new thinking, giving individuals and business leaders a more rounded view of how to maximise creativity and innovation in their lives and businesses.
